Caribbean Style
Part Two: Going
Caribbean
Check out Seeds Design
Although similar to Seaside | Coastal Interior Design, the
Caribbean style sets itself apart with an abundant palette of colors – that are
as vibrant as your creativity will allow.
Windows: You do not find the use of heavy fabrics like what
you would normally find in the cooler climates. You don’t have a lot of
velvet’s. Sheers, linens and light weight cotton are more suitable for this
style. Vision the curtains dancing in the tropical breeze. Just make sure that the window treatment fabric is really airy and breathable. Shutters are also a common window treatment
and add privacy.

Walls: Blend vibrant greens, pinks, orange, aqua and corals
with rustic accents such as grass cloth walls, woven blinds and a vintage sign.
Furniture: wicker, rattan or bamboo are the best choices.
Use tropical patterned upholstery fabric with rich colors. The furniture should be comfortable, inviting
& relaxing.
Choose Seaside Accessories, Décor, Floor/Table Lamps and
Area Rugs in your favorite vivid color palette.
Use your seaside treasure finds as a finishing tropical touch.
