When I think of celebrating Cinco de Mayo, I envision tissue paper decorations made with bright colors such as green, red, hot pink, orange and bright yellow. A table adorned with a sombrero center piece, a grouping of colorful candles lighting up the night. Streamers, tissue paper flowers and streamers bringing a medley of color to the setting. A margarita bar with colorful bar & stem ware. A buffet that includes an assortment of Mexican foods & desserts such as; make your own tacos & salsa bar.
Friends and family gathered around, Mariachi performers or salsa music playing, laughter and celebration. Cameras flashing pictures to forever save the memory of a joyous occasion.
Dahlia-like pom-poms appear to float in the air, imparting a cheerful radiance to a rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, or casual reception. Echoing the vibrant hanging puffs, pom-pom napkin rings in citrus shades adorn each place setting.
Fact: Cinco de Mayo is a festive Mexican celebration that has become increasingly popular in the United States. Many believe it to be Mexico's Independence Day, May 5th. It actually represents Mexico's victory over France at the battle of Puebla in 1862.
